A rather common species throughout Belgium.
Native
Larvae feed inside the flowering shoots on the host plant during spring and moves from one shoot to another. Pupation takes place among leaves or on the ground.
The adults are active early morning and late afternoon and later come to light.
The adults have been seen from late May towards early August.
The larva lives on Rubus idaeus and Rubus fruticosus.
They inhabit open woodland, gardens and hedgerows.
