A rather common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as a pupa. The males are attracted to light. The females are apterous.
The adults fly from late January till April.
The larva lives on various deciduous trees, like Quercus, Crataegus and fruit trees.
