A very rare species in Belgium.

The larvae bore in the fruits and live within the seeds. They leave the fruits before winter to hibernate in the litter.
The adults come to light.
The adults have been seen from late April, but usually from mid-May towards late July in one generation a year. Most observations during June.
The larva lives on Acer pseudoplantanus and Acer campestre.
It inhabits open woods, parks, gardens, woodland edges, hedgerows etc...
