A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Near Threatened according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
They hibernate as a pupa underground.
The adults are active from early dusk and later come to light.
The adults fly in one, sometimes two generations a year from May till late August.
The larva lives on several deciduous trees like Fagus sylvatica, Ulmus glabra or Ulmus procera.
