Native
The larvae live gregariously in a slight web on the leaves of the food plant and related cultivars, possibly also on other plants. They pupate in a cocoon amongst leaf litter or spin up under a flower head of the food plant.
The adults come to light.
The adults fly in two, perhaps three generations a year from late March to mid-September. In Belgium, most specimens have been observed in July.
The larvae live on Sedum telephium.
