A rather common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
It pupates in a cocoon between two spun leaves. The adults come to light.
The adults fly in two overlapping generations from mid-April till June, and from July till early September. When conditions are favourable, a third generation occurs till early October.
