Bionomics

When young it lives in a turned-down leaf, later on between two spun leaves.
Pupation in a cocoon in a partially cut section of the leaf.
Moths can be observed visiting ripe blackberries, ivy-bloom, and flowers such as Succisa.
The adults come to light.

Flight periods

The adults have been observed in every month of the year, but most in autumn, until well into December depending on temperatures.

The larva is very polyphagous on herbaceous plants, notably on Stachys, Eupatorium and Fragaria vesca.
