Wingspan 15–17 mm. It has a generally dark brown color with a rather orange head. It is characterized by translucent wing skylights.

Bionomics

Larvae in leaves, spun into a tube. Hibernates as a pupa spun between leaves of the food plant. The adults are active during sunny days.
