A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as a small larva. The adults are mainly active at dusk and dawn, they come to light.
The adults fly in one generation a year from mid-June to mid-August.
The larva lives on lichens, mainly on Peltigera canina, and on various mosses.
