A common species throughout Belgium, especially in the northern part and in the limestone area.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
The species hibernates as a pupa in a loose cocoon between leaves. The adults come to light and sugar.
The adults fly from early May till early August.
