A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Vulnerable according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
The adults come to light and sugar.
The adults fly in one generation a year from mid-May till mid-August, sometimes a partial second generation occurs till September. Most observations are from the end of May till July.
The larva lives mainly on Betula, but has also been found on Alnus glutinosa.
