A very rare and local species in Belgium.
Native
The egg is normally laid on the upper side of the leaf.
The caterpillar is bright green and can be found around September.
The mine of this species is very compact and contorted. It makes a number of hairpin bends that lie very close together and then enter the leaf somewhat looser at the last part. The reddish brown frass fills the first part of the mine almost completely. The frass lies in arcs.
The caterpillar pupates outside the mine in a brown cocoon.
The adults fly from late May to June.
