A local and rare species in Belgium, but becoming more common since the beginning of the 21st century. Before only known from two provinces in the north of the country, but widespread now though never common.

Bionomics

The caterpillar feeds on the flowers and seeds. Pupation along the stem of the foodplant.
The adults are active at night ans occasionally come to light.

Two or three, difficult to separate, generations a year: from June till November.

Host plant (species):
Centaurium erythraea, Centaurium littorale, Blackstonia perfoliata and Gentianella germanica

Oligophagous on Gentianaceae.
