A very rare species in the extreme southern part of Belgium. Rarely been recorded and has not been seen since 2016.
Native
The species lays its eggs in the axils of blackthorn branches. The eggs overwinter and in the spring the caterpillars eat the flower buds and young leaves.
The adults fly in June till mid-July.
The larva lives mainly on Prunus spinosa.
