This species was extinct in Belgium since 1956 but was rediscovered in the Gaume region in the south of Belgium in 2013. Since then new observations of the species have been done on a few locations in the Gaume region and in LG.
The adults fly in two generations a year: from late May towards late September.
The larva lives on Potentilla reptans.
