A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as a pupa in a strong cocoon.
The adults come to light.
The adults fly from April till late August in two generations a year.
The larva lives mainly on Acer campestre but has also been found on Acer pseudoplatanus.
