A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as pupa in plant debris or moss.
They are active from dusk onwards and later come to light.
The adults fly in one long generation a year from late April till mid-August. Occasionally, a smaller partial second generation is noticed.
