A recent arrival in Belgium (1996), hitherto still a very rare migrant. A southern species which expanding its range in north-western Europe.

Bionomics

Hibernates as a full-grown larva in the soil.
The adults come to light and sugar.

The adults fly in two generations a year during May and June and again in August till late October.
