This species had some local populations in the north of the province of Antwerp between more or less 1850 and 1944 and is presumed to have been introduced with Onobrychi seed, a plant that was grown in the region for the large scale sheep herding.

The adults fly in one generation during July and August.
The larva lives on Onobrychis species.
