A very rare and local species in Belgium, not often observed.

The larvae feed in spun seeds of the food plant from September to October before overwintering as a pupa. The imago's are day active and are to find on the blossom of umbellifera.
They are on the wing in July and August.
Heracleum sphondylium, Angelica sylvestris or Ligusticum scoticum.
