The adults fly in one generation a year; from early June towards early August. They are active from dusk onwards, flying among the food plant and later come to light.

The larva lives between spun leaves on Vaccinium myrtillus and V. uliginosum. Hibernates as an egg on the food plant. Pupates underground or among the food plant
