A very rare and local species in Belgium, nowadays only known from the Kempen.

This species is considered Critically Endangered according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.

Bionomics

Hibernates as a larva in a cocoon, in which it pupates in the spring. The adults come to light.
