A very rare and local species in Belgium, not seen for a very long time.

Wingspan 10–12 mm.
Little is known about biology.
The food plants are still unknown. Literature states that the caterpillar would cause a gall in the twigs of Betula. Also wasp galls (Hymenoptera) on Quercus and Populus tremula are mentioned.
It inhabits gardens, parkland and woodland.
