Wingspan 16–18 mm. This species can normally be distinguished by the rosy pink flush on the white ground colour, especially when freshly emerged.

Caterpillar

Reddish brown body with yellowish head, margins black, prothoracic and anal plates and thoracic feet blackish brown, pinacula concolorous with body.

Bionomics

The larva lives between spun leaves. It pupates in the feeding place.
The adults are active from late afternoon onwards and come to light.
