A rather rare but widespread species in Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as a small larva and pupates in a cocoon attached on a twig of the food plant. The adults come to light.
The adults fly in one, sometimes two generations a year from late May till early August.
The larva lives mainly on Prunus spinosa, Crataegus and Malus.
