A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as a pupa in a cocoon attached to a twig of the food plant.
The adults come to light.
The adults can be seen from mid-March, but usually from early April towards mid-July, occasionally later.
The larva lives on a variety of deciduous trees like Tilia, Betula, Prunus spinosa, or Rhamnus catharticus.
