Imago

Wingspan c. 14 mm. A rather nondescript-looking species, small size and dark fuscous-brown coloration of both fore- and hindwings are characteristic.

Bionomics

The larva lives in spun leaves. Hibernates as a young larva. The adults fly during the day if it is sunny, and later towards dusk. They come to light.

Flight periods

The adults are on the wing in June and early July in one generation.

Host plant (genera):
Crataegus and Prunus

The larva feeds on Crataegus, Malus, Prunus and Pyrus. The species can be a local pest in plum and apricot orchards.
