A species of colder regions and higher altitudes, restricted to the southern part of Belgium. Hitherto a very rare and local species.
Native
Wingspan 17–20 mm.
Very similar to Neofaculta ericetella so genital examination is recommended.
Larva undescribed.
Biology poorly known, but it is assumed that the larva live between spun leaves.
The adults are active from late afternoon and later come to light.
The adults have been seen from mid-May towards mid-August.
The larva lives mainly on Vaccinium myrtillus. In older literature there are references to Ledum pallustre and Betula, but is this correct?
It inhabits raised bogs and damp, cool forest areas with lots of Vaccinium.
