A very rare and local species in Belgium.
Native
Wingspan 14–16 mm.
The larva lives initially in pod-shaped folded leaves of terminal shoots, eating them when they are small and undeveloped causing a distorded growth, later in leaves spun together. Pupation takes place in a cocoon on the ground.
The adults come to light.
They are on the wing from early August till mid-September.
The larva lives on different species of Genista, mainly on Genista tinctoria, also on Genista anglica, Genista sagittalis. Also found on Chamaecytisus supinus and Laburnum anagyroides.
It inhabits downland, grasslands and heaths.
