A very rare and local species in Belgium, not often observed.

The larva skeletonises leaves and spins two leaves loosely together. Pupation takes place inside a folded leaf (Gregersen & Karsholt 2022).
The adults become active around dusk and later come to light.
The adults have been seen from April towards August.
The larva feeds mainly on different species of Medicago like Medicago sativa, Medicago lupulina, and Medicago polymorpha. Also found on Trifolium repens, Trifolium hirtum and Hippocrepis comosa.
It prefers open habitats like abandoned fields, rough ground, grasslands etc...
