Overwinters as a pupa; The adults come to light.
The adults ate on the wing from mid-June towards mid-July.
The species is polyphagous, but often feeds on Fabaceae and Asteraceae.
It inhabits warm and dry nutrient-poor grasslands and similar habitats like quarries, slopes and embankments.
