A fairly distinct species not seen for some time in Belgium and may be extinct.
Native
Wingspan 16–19 mm.
The larva feeds in folded or rolled leaves eating the upper parenchyma.
The adults come to light.
The adults are on the wing from April towards October in two generations a year. The species is said to hibernate, but that needs confirmation.
The larva lives mainly on Convolvulus arvensis, also on Calystegia sepium. Othres food plants mentioned in literature are Ipomoea, Pharbitis nil and Hibiscus syriacus.
It inhabits meadows and grassy pastures.
