Acharia stimulea (Clemens, 1861) Species

One full-grown caterpillar was found at Sint-Lievens-Houtem, OV, 2018-11-07, leg. B. Stas. This species occurs in southern U.S.A. and Mexico and was probably imported with plants. The caterpillar is polyphagous with a preference for palms.
