A very rare and local species in Belgium, Not often recorded.
Native
Body yellowish white, head yellowish brown, sides darker, prothoracic and anal plates concolorous with body.
The larva feeds amongst spun flowers or shoots, or in the buds on the host plant.
The adults fly during the day in sunshine around the food plant.
The adults can be seen from early April towards late May.
The larva lives on Genista tinctoria and Cytisus.
It inhabits extensive broom fields in heathlands.
