A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
It hibernates as egg.
They are active from dusk onwards and later come to light in small numbers.
The adults fly in one generation a year from beginning of May till early September.
The larva lives in the catkins of different species of Salix.
