A very rare species in Belgium, mainly in the south.

The larvae live with three or four in the stem and the root collar on the host plant. The adults come to light.
The adults have been observed from late May till September. There are probably two generations a year.
The larva lives on several Senecio spp., especially on Senecio nemorensis.
It inhabits open woods, rural places, roadside verges, wasteland, rough ground etc...
