A common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as larva and pupates in a cocoon in loose earth.
The moths are active from dusk onwards and later come to light.
The adults fly in two generations a year from late April till late September.
The larva lives on Galium, sometimes also on Vaccinium.
