A very rare species in Belgium, hitherto only known from the coast, and a few doubtful old observations in LI and BR.

This species is considered Endangered according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.

Bionomics

Hibernates as a larva and pupates in a cocoon in loose sand.
The adults come to light.
