In Belgium only known from some old records, probably extinct.
The identity of these old specimens should be checked because they might belong to Stenoptilia pneumonanthes (Büttner, 1880) instead.

The caterpillar feeds on the leaves and flowers, these are spun together. Later on also the seed heads are consumed.
Pupation on the stem of the food plant or on a nearby plant.
One generation a year in July–August.
Oligophagous on Gentiana.
