A very rare and local species in the southern part in Belgium, rarely observed.
Perhaps overlooked because of the resemblance with Scopula marginepunctata.

The caterpillar hibernates and is mature in April/May.
The moths fly in two generations from May to September.
The caterpillars live polyphagous in the herb layer. They prefer Fabaceae such as Lotus and Hippocrepis or Rosaceae as Sanguisorba minor.
It inhabits grasslands and pastures on limestone and silicate.
