A fairly common species in Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Wingspan 19–26 mm.
Hibernates as pupa.
They are active mainly around dusk when they come to light.
The adults fly from early May to July in two generations a year.
The larva lives on several species of Silene.
