The larva first feeds in the heart of the food plant and later spins the top leaves together.
Pupation on the upper surface of a leaf or along the stem of the food plant.
The adults are active at night and come to light.
One generation a year from June to August.
Oligophagous on Hieracium and Picris.
Ruderal places, waste land, open places in forests.
