This very rare and local species in WV, has not seen in Belgium for quite some time.
Native
The species overwinters as a pupa in a cocoon in the ground, sometimes for two or three years.
The moths are easy to disturb during the day. They often fly around the host plant at dusk and later come to light.
The adults fly from mid-May towards July in one generation a year.
The larva lives on the developing seeds of Descurainia sophia and on Erysimum cheiranthoides.
