A very rare and local species in LX. Not many observations known.

Wingspan: 21–25 mm. It has yellowish gray to ash wings, each with a more or less visible dark discal point, widely speckled with brown scales. It has more marked transverse lines in the female. This species is quite variable and the patterns can be faded to the point of making the wings almost single-colored.
The larva lives freely on the leaves.
The adults are on the wing from late April to early June and again from late June till the beginning of September in two generations a year.
The oligophagous larva lives on Fabaceae like Esparcette, Onobrychis viciifolia, Trifolium, Vicia, Medicago, Lathyrus etc...
It frequents sunny wastelands, hillsides etc...
