A very rare migrant in Belgium. The first observation of our country was on the Flemish coast in 2010.

This species is considered Near Threatened according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.

Bionomics

The second generation overwinters as an adult. They come to light and sugar.

The adults fly in two generations a year during July and August and onwards from September till October and after overwintering again during spring.
