| Description : | orchidée sa tige florale avait 2 m 75 de haut et ses feuilles plus de 1 m 50; ses fleurs forment une grappe terminale; elles sont constituées par un périanthe externe brunâtre formé de 3 pièces à peu près égales et d'un périanthe interne également de 3 pièces; deux supérieures entièrement violettes; églaes; de forme elliptique; l' autre antérieur violacé muni dans sa partie médiane de 8 lignes préminentes jaunâtres; sa forme est celle d'un casque romain à longue visière ( Lissochillus gigan.); gynostige blanc arrivant au niveau des oeillettes du pétale antérieur |
