A very rare species in Belgium. Not seen for a very long time.
Native
The larva feeds in a silken gallery in the stems of the food plant. Pupation in a silken frass-covered cocoon. It's an infrequent visitor to light.
The adults fly in two generations a year onwards from June towards October.
The larva feeds on various grass species.
