A very rare and local species in Belgium, mainly observed in the north of the country.

The caterpillars prefer to live on plants growing in shady places. They feed on the stem, leaves, and flower buds.
Pupation on the lower parts of the host plants.
The adults are active at night and come to light.
One generation a year in July–August.
Oligophagous on Inula or Pulicaria.
Open places in forests, forest margins, meadows.
