A very rare species in Belgium, not so often recorded.
Native
The larva folds a radical leaf, turning the upperside inwards to form a spacious pocket within which it feeds on the upper epidermis without perforating the leaf. When fully fed in late July, it constructs a white silken cocoon amongst leaf litter in which it overwinters.
The adults come to light.
The adults fly form late April towards early June.
It inhabits open woods, dry grassy habitats, scrub and uncultivated ground, mainly on limestone soil.
