A common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
The larva does not spin a cocoon, but merely shaped out a cell beneath the soil or on detritus. The adults come to light.
The adults have been seen from half April to mid-September, but are usually noted from mid-June towards mid-August.
The larva lives on Pinus sylvestris.
